Drone Photos
Drone Photography for Property Marketing
Yorkshire Drone Photography Services specialise in photogrammetry 2D mapping. Our drone (UAV) pilots are industry experienced in land surveying and construction.
The orthomosaic is a 2D map. Each point contains X/Y axis and color information. The orthomosaic has uniform scale and can be used for 2D measurements, distances, and areas, because it is an accurate representation of the Earth’s geographic surface.
The overlapping geo-referenced 2D aerial images are stitched together in the software to produce a 2D photo-mosaic. Like any printed map the 2D map viewpoint is directly overhead looking down vertically on the Z axis. There is no obvious perspective of elevation as only the X/Y elevations are plotted.

The Benefits of Aerial View Photography When Marketing Your Home
Getting everything in the shot – With aerial photography, we can capture the entire facade of a tall building from a high angle. This can give a viewer a much better perspective on seeing the height and scale of the overall structure from a faraway vantage point.
Quite enlightening – Many clients are beginning to see the appeal of getting an all-encompassing aerial view of their properties – drones can reveal features unknown even to the clients themselves. Understandable, as most people only see their properties from ground level perspectives… unless they’re extraordinarily tall!
Birds-eye vantage points – Our drones can reach even higher elevations to capture a top-down, birds-eye view of your property as well as the surrounding areas. From this angle, you can get a clearer perspective on how the property fits into the overall landscape.
Capturing extensive plots and garden spaces – Buildings with impressive height are not the only kinds of properties benefitted by drone photography. Plots with wide surface areas can be viewed in an entirely different way with a drone’s heightened perspective. Extensive gardens can also be captured in exquisite detail even from afar.
Types of Properties We Photograph Using Drones
High-rise apartments – From blocks of flats to premium penthouse suites, our drones have captured all kinds of top-living lifestyles. Our drones can meet you at eye level from outside your apartment window, or they can fly to an even higher vantage point!
Ordinary mid-sized houses – Drone property photography is certainly not limited to toweringly tall skyscrapers. Properties of any shape or size can be appealingly photographed from a higher angle, with the bird-eye perspective being a popular choice.
Stately homes – Extravagant country mansions can often be too large and wide to capture from a ground level, so a drone shot from a tilted angle can give a three-dimensional impression of the building.
Landscapes – We have experience in using drones to photograph both urban and rural landscapes, showcasing the manmade infrastructure and the natural beauty of these areas.
Skylines – For an extremely distant view of your property, we can pull back to get a full skyline shot against a beautiful sunset. Of course, this technique works best for very tall and prominent structures, but it can also serve a purpose in giving a dramatic view of the general area that a property is in.
